AL-KO VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY ELECTRONICS PRESENTS THE NEW SOLAR SYSTEM RANGE

The Italian company resulting from the merger of CBE and Nordelettronica has launched two new solar panel modules, a solar regulator and a digital touch display to control the battery voltage and current delivered by the panels. The new catalogue includes four more level test panels

AL-KO Vehicle Technology Electronics (VTE), the European leader in the field of electrical and electronic systems for caravanning applications and American DexKo Group member, has announced a range of solar panel solutions and a new series of test panels. Formed from the merger of CBE and Nordelettronica, AL-KO VTE has presented this year a renewed aftermarket product catalogue that brings the range of both brands together.

Solar System solutions now include two new solar panel modules made using an innovative manufacturing process. The particular anti-reflective treatment of the cells and the use of special tempered, high-transmittance, shock-resistant and weatherproof glass guarantee superior performance. The module is protected on the back by a white Tedlar sheet to prevent infiltrations of air and moisture, isolate the electrical contacts and prevent rust. The module frame is made of anodised aluminium and the junction box installed on the back contains the by-pass diodes and cable glands needed for connection.

The MF100P model is made with 36 polycrystalline cells and has an output of 100 watts, while the MF170 model has 32 monocrystalline cells and an output of 170 watts. Using cutting-edge technology in their construction, the new solar panel modules are covered by a stated power output warranty for up to 25 years.

The new MPPT controller

AL-KO VTE has also announced a completely new solar controller, called the PRM350, in addition to the two new panels. The product can automatically charge 12V lead batteries (lead-acid, gel and AGM) and lithium batteries by controlling and limiting the energy supplied by the connected photovoltaic modules. It has an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) system for drawing the peak power that can be delivered by the photovoltaic module in every situation. The PRM350 is suitable for operation with modules from 32 to 72 cells up to a maximum power output of 350 watts.

The company also announced a new digital test panel with an OLED touch display to complete the Solar System range. The PT742 / GR displays the battery voltage, current and power output of the regulator and is compatible with PRS300, PBS90 and PRM350 regulators.Everything is under control with the new test panels

Last but not least, the new CBE / Nordelettronica catalogue now features four new digital test panels with touchscreen and OLED technology, like the PT738 / GR for displaying the internal and external temperature, the PT752 / GR for displaying the voltage of a 12V battery and the charging/discharge current from -260A to +260A, the PT722 / GR for displaying the level of two tanks in percentage and the PT732 / GR for displaying the voltage of two 12V batteries.

All panels are supplied complete with sensors and accessories according to the installation and can be flush-mounted or wall-mounted using the spacer provided. The standard size (60 x 60 millimetres) facilitates integration into existing installations. Each basic panel is fitted with a Berker BMAC1C frame, which can be combined with the Berker Modular Plates and Modular Plates series.
